Pitch Deck

Tacoma Subarea Art Plan

In partnership with Emma Wiseman we designed the Tacoma Subarea Art Plan pitch deck. Proposed by local artists Horatio Law and Linda Wysong to the City of Tacoma, this plan reimagines the Tacoma Mall area as a green, pedestrian-friendly neighborhood that fosters connection, pride, and community.

Using a natural yet corporate aesthetic, the pitch emphasizes the role of local art and nature in transforming underutilized spaces.

The pitch deck presents a structured vision through ten key sections:

  • Introduction
  • Vision & Principles
  • The Art of Walking (essay)
  • Summary of the Subarea Plan
  • Research and Methods
  • Loop Road - Streets for People
  • Challenges & Opportunities
  • Conclusion
  • Appendix

Each section is designed with subsections to guide city leaders through an actionable framework that integrates art, green spaces, and community-centered design.

The Tacoma Subarea Art Plan envisions a community-centered environment where art, nature, and design unite. Through this plan, South Tacoma could become a space where residents experience a sense of belonging and pride. By embracing art’s role in fostering well-being, this proposal offers a blueprint for using creativity to inspire growth and connection in Tacoma.
