LURCH is a Portland-based, community-driven magazine, now on ISSUE 05! Each issue presents a broad theme that creatives are encouraged to (loosely) follow and submit artwork, writing, photography, textiles, and more to be featured in the following issue.
Founded in 2022 by Emma Wiseman and Anna Volk, LURCH has been growing steadily.
In addition to publishing our zine, we actively engage in Portland’s zine and arts community. We’ve participated in the Independent Publishers Panelthrough Literary Arts, and our team has helped organize the annual Portland Zine Symposium. And we’re also involved in an ongoing Independent Publishers Research Project with BERM magazine.
