In-House Graphic Design Intern

1% for the Planet

1% for the Planet is a global movement that encourages businesses and individuals to contribute at least 1% of their annual sales to environmental causes. Founded in 2002, the organization connects members with non-profit partners, amplifying their impact on conservation efforts and promoting environmental stewardship.

As the Graphic Design Intern, I was committed to enhancing the visual narrative of the brand and its mission, engaging the community, and supporting the environmental initiatives championed by their members!

One of my key projects was designing a t-shirt for the live printing station at Global Summit 2024 in San Diego. This design was showcased to a wide audience, enhancing its visibility. These shirts were screen printed live for attendees, creating an engaging and interactive experience.

The design process began with rough drafting in my notebook, where I sketched various concepts inspired by nature, such as birds, fish, plants, and weather elements. These initial sketches allowed me to explore different compositions and styles before translating them into vector art.

With the organization's 115k Instagram followers, the language and branding of the posts are very important. Designing for such a substantial following requires a great understanding of brand consistency.
In a role like this, every post contributes to shaping the brand’s public image, which means each design must be crafted with precision, creativity, and strategy.
